FAQs about Concealed AC Systems
Is concealed AC maintenance difficult and does it require breaking the gypsum ceiling?
Not at all. Through a concealed, dedicated maintenance access panel with a decorative design, technicians can easily access the filter and unit to perform required maintenance and cleaning—without affecting the ceiling.
What is the difference between concealed AC and central (package) air conditioning?
The concealed system consists of two units (indoor and outdoor) for each room or area, allowing independent control for every zone and improved energy efficiency.
In contrast, central (package) AC uses one large unit serving the entire building or a full floor.
You can view the full comparison here.
How much ceiling drop is required for the false ceiling?
To ensure smooth airflow and comfortable installation, we require a clearance between the concrete ceiling and the gypsum ceiling ranging from 35 cm to 50 cm.
If your ceiling height is limited, we also offer alternative solutions, such as selecting specific brands with a slimmer unit thickness.
When is the best time to start installing a concealed AC system?
The ideal time is before casting the ground floor slab or the basement slab, if applicable.
You should coordinate with us early to install the piping, define unit locations, duct routes, and coordinate with the plumbing, electrical, and interior design teams across all stages.

Can concealed air conditioning be installed after completing painting and gypsum works?
It is possible, but it is costly and inconvenient, as it requires breaking parts of the gypsum ceiling, repainting, and modifying the installations. Therefore, we always recommend planning for it early.
What about water leakage issues and damage to gypsum ceilings? How do we prevent them?
Water leakage occurs due to poor installation, not a flaw in the system. We ensure it does not happen by performing precise pipe slope testing to guarantee proper water drainage.
Can the temperature of each room be controlled separately?
Yes, absolutely. The concealed system operates with independent units. You can run the bedroom AC while turning off the living area, and each room has its own dedicated thermostat, making it more energy-efficient compared to central air conditioning.
Why is the cost of concealed air conditioning higher than wall-mounted split AC?
Wall-mounted split AC consists of (the unit + copper piping). In contrast, concealed air conditioning is a fully integrated system that includes: (the unit + sheet metal/ductwork + thermal insulation + aluminum grilles + plenum boxes + drainage and copper piping). These components provide a longer service life, better air distribution, and a far superior aesthetic appearance, which explains the higher system cost.
I’ve heard that concealed air conditioning sometimes produces unpleasant odors—what is the reason?
Odors are caused by sewage smells backing up into the unit. Our solution to this issue is simple and permanent: we install a professional U-trap that prevents any odors from returning through the drainage pipes to the indoor unit, ensuring clean and fresh air at all times.
Does concealed air conditioning consume more electricity?
Electricity consumption depends on the unit’s energy efficiency and inverter technology. The modern units we provide feature very high energy-saving technologies and can be up to 40% more efficient than older air conditioners.
